PHOENIX AWR BROWSER EXTENSION PRIVACY POLICY

Phoenix AWR Browser Extension is developed and distributed by MC3D SPA.

1. Purpose of the extension

The sole purpose of the Phoenix AWR Browser Extension is to detect legacy Java content on web pages, including Applet, JApplet, OBJECT, EMBED, JNLP and Java Web Start references, and allow the user to open the selected page with the locally installed Phoenix AWR desktop application through the phoenixawr: protocol.

The extension does not execute Java applications by itself. Phoenix AWR must be installed separately on the user’s computer.

2. Information collected by MC3D SPA

The extension does not collect, store, sell, share or transmit personal information to MC3D SPA.

The extension does not include:

• Advertising.
• Analytics.
• Telemetry.
• Behavioral tracking.
• User profiling.
• Remote user databases.

3. Website access

The extension examines the content of web pages locally in the browser to determine whether compatible Java elements are present.

This access is required because legacy Java content may be hosted on any website and may be located inside frames or dynamically generated page content.

Website content, browsing history and detected Java elements are not transmitted to MC3D SPA or to any external server.

4. Page addresses

When the user explicitly chooses “Open with Phoenix AWR,” the current page address is passed locally to the installed Phoenix AWR desktop application through the phoenixawr: protocol.

The page address is not sent to MC3D SPA.

5. Remote code

The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted code.

All JavaScript executed by the extension is included in the extension package submitted to the Chrome Web Store.

The extension does not use remotely hosted JavaScript, WebAssembly, dynamic modules or downloaded executable code.

6. Local storage

The extension may store local configuration information required for its operation. This information remains on the user’s device and is not transmitted to MC3D SPA.

7. Third-party content

Websites, Java Applets, JNLP files and Java applications opened through Phoenix AWR are independent from MC3D SPA.

Third-party content may have its own privacy and security practices. Users should review the origin and privacy policies of external content before executing it.

MC3D SPA does not control or receive information processed by third-party Java applications.

8. Data sharing

MC3D SPA does not sell or transfer extension user data to advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers or other third parties.

9. Limited use

Information accessed by the extension is used only to provide its declared functionality: detecting compatible Java content and launching the selected page with Phoenix AWR.

The use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the extension adds functionality that changes how information is accessed, used, stored or transmitted.
